Finally, after 3 months, got Windows 2000 running on my Sony Vaio FX140 laptop. It's a beautiful machine, other than the bad taste that a company like Sony leaves in your mouth. Now that it's running the only stable and compatible operating system it outperforms my desktop, so I'm cleaning up the old boy and getting him ready to sell. He's not too pokey, 500mhz, 128mb ram, the video and sound cards are top notch Voodoo and SoundBlaster, and the monitor is a really sweet AcerView 79g. Actually would continue using it but for my current mobility needs. On a completely different note Wizard's Duel is in it's beta phase. In other words, it basically works, but there are definitely kinks. I'm licensing my online editor to The National Network of Abortion Funds for their members only section blog. What else have I been up to since getting back from New Orleans? Oh, did I mention we went to New Orleans. Well yeah, we did, for the anual National Romance Writers Association conference. And now I'm working on Rakehell again. Since the old site was broken I just re-directed it to the work-in-progress .Net. There's no real home page, and just the articles section is up, but the new template is faster, cleaner, and easier to use. Once I get it all functional again we can think about putting a pretty home page back on it. Ok, back to work for me.
