found a good use for Google's Language Translator: translating German Erotic Mags. you get some rather amusing half-english half-german statements, take a look if you don't mind a little flesh.
.Michelle - new site Cybil and I did for our friend / business partner. it's just a template at the moment. was a fun challenge getting it to selectivly flex both horizontally and vertically. next up is the old webmonkey expanding/collapsing dhtml nav..

Milton caught a field mouse today while on a 6 foot leash (with me attached to the other end). I'm so proud >:-}=
He pounced into the tall grass, shuffled about for a while with his paws, and came out with a little squeaking thing in his mouth. He played with it, it got dark, he played with it, it stopped squeaking, he played with it some more, and then he ate it.
A couple of Texas hunters are out in the woods when one of them falls to the ground. He doesn’t seem to be breathing, his eyes are rolled back in his head. The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls 911.
He gasps to the operator, “My friend is dead! What can I do?”
The operator, in a calm soothing voice says, “Just take it easy. I can help. First, lets make sure he’s dead.”
There is a silence, then a shot is heard.....
The hunter says, “OK, now what?”

Lin Weinberg / Seating - my brother's got the first chair on the left. I don't remember where he got it, and I know it's not worth the 4,500 these guys are charging for it, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.

Finally, after 3 months, got Windows 2000 running on my Sony Vaio FX140 laptop. It's a beautiful machine, other than the bad taste that a company like Sony leaves in your mouth. Now that it's running the only stable and compatible operating system it outperforms my desktop, so I'm cleaning up the old boy and getting him ready to sell. He's not too pokey, 500mhz, 128mb ram, the video and sound cards are top notch Voodoo and SoundBlaster, and the monitor is a really sweet AcerView 79g. Actually would continue using it but for my current mobility needs.
On a completely different note Wizard's Duel is in it's beta phase. In other words, it basically works, but there are definitely kinks.
I'm licensing my online editor to The National Network of Abortion Funds for their members only section blog.
What else have I been up to since getting back from New Orleans? Oh, did I mention we went to New Orleans. Well yeah, we did, for the anual National Romance Writers Association conference. And now I'm working on Rakehell again. Since the old site was broken I just re-directed it to the work-in-progress .Net. There's no real home page, and just the articles section is up, but the new template is faster, cleaner, and easier to use. Once I get it all functional again we can think about putting a pretty home page back on it.
Ok, back to work for me.
