CSS - Quirks mode and strict mode
Better late than never. PPK, owner of quirksmode.org, has finally written a page on doctype switching. It is better than any other page written on the subject that I've read, clearly stating the problem, the solutions, and explaining exactly what aspects of CSS are effected an d in what way.

Google Search: keira knightly site:sublimedirectory.com
A new use for Google Alerts that I just came up with. Watch a particular website for a certain set of keywords. For example, the above search searches sublimedirectory.com for "keira knightly," an alert type "Web" that emails me "as it happens". Their was a particularly clever and less porn mongering search that I came up with last night on the drive home, but I've forgotten it.
Just remembered! You could set up a search of your favorite radio station for a particular musician: Yo Yo Ma site:kusc.org.

Hired
After 2 years as a contractor for Baxter BioScience I have finally been hired, and for thrice my age annualized plus a signing bonus. Begrudging thanks are due to Mister Jon, for leaving and making them afraid. Thanks as well to Sabah and Jeff for using that fear to twist arms.
